Let Go

I love His work, someone said as they took one last long lingering look at the painting, if it were only possible to have known his heart, what he saw and felt that compels you to drink deeply of its richness.

Well, I’m getting to know an artist that is painting on the canvas of my heart, something that makes the Seven Wonders of the World seem dull and boring in comparison to his skilled and detailed eye.
Today at work it was another colorful day, the wildness of unfettered emotions straining to ride this cowboy into another bout of being so tired and worn out, when from deep within, I hear Him speak, “son, let go, learn in this moment the unforced rhythms of my grace.”
What I discovered in choosing to let go was not a miracle of osmosis, but rather an infusion of life as I choose to allow the unforced rhythms of his grace to invade my soul.

“Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
“If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!”

I have actually been TOLD to let go. It was a bit shocking, but I did. (I posted about it: Let Go and Let God.) And when I did, a very challenging problem not only melted away but instead of facing severe punishment, I became a hero! (None of it was my doing, just God fixing things so much better than I ever could.)

Elizabeth,

Could you point out to me on which of your blogs that you posted, "Let Go and Let God"?

Thanks,
Rich
