A New Creation
I liked these quote’s from ‘The Making of a Son’ very much.
“Simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ enables God to plant the incorruptible seed (1Peter 1:23) in all who believe, and thereby have His divine nature in humanity. This is the new creation, different from anything which has ever before been on the face of the earth. This is not the restoration of Eden. It is much greater! It is an entirely new creation composed of the offspring of God Himself.”
“The Father is interested in making us mature sons, not building up our personal earthly kingdom.”
"Just bringing children to birth is not God’s ultimate intention; His great need is for true sons not simply happy children.”

Hey, Rich, is "The Making of a Son" a book, video, or blog? Could you give more info. so I could go check it out? If it's a book, author please. I tried googling it and looking for it on amazon to no avail.
Thanks!
Tracy
Tracy,
Hey, yes these quotes are from a book by Warren Litzman, a brother I know and have been greatly impacted and impressed of the Father through.
I have read this book a dozen times or more, only 81 pages long.
I have read MANY things re: Luke 15 and the 3 main characters, Father and 2 sons, but imo this is the best..but once gain, Father has no need to use or work through one thing in a childs life and duplicate it in another.
Here is a link to warren's site

I look 4ward to getting to know you, I love the unique and caring, loving flavor of the Father so evident in your life.
Oh, how funny. I have many of Litzman's books. Some I love, some not so much, some are a mixture for me. But that is one I'm not familiar with. I'll put it in my "to read" list right now. Many thanks!
Tracy
Tracy,
Wow, cool. The same here, funny how Father works, and what he uses in our becoming fully mature sons.
One of the first people I ever heard that used the term of grace and law being mixed together, 'co-mingled' was liberating, and continues to point to our Liberator!
Two of our dearest friends use to travel with Warren all over the world, living, speaking and sharing this glorious Mystery Good News Gospel.
They, both (our friends) had a collision and crash with a full force gale of religion that has been used of the Father to do much the same that was etched into the life of our brother Paul in the Scriptures, only deepened and intensified the growing revelation of Him who IS our only Life.
Rich, same here: Litzman was the first one I ever heard use the term "co-mingling" and it really opened my eyes to so many things.
Have you read Dan Stone's book The Rest of the Gospel? Fantastic!
Tracy,
No I haven't, but I have heard about it plenty of times over the years from many different folks.
A good friend of mine, Dave over at http://aldrichdesign.blogspot.com/
Is just finishing it up, he has really enjoyed it he says.
He sent me a few sample pages that spoke to him--what I read was great. Perhaps in the future, I will get it.
I'll head right over to check out that blog--thanks!
If you want to read some more from the book, I've quoted it quite a bit in these posts:

By the way, I wanted to ask where you got the incredible graphic of the butterfly transformation on the top of your blog? It's beautiful!
Tracy,
Thanks for the link. Maybe you have already addressed this in another of your blog entries re: Dan Stone, not sure.
I'm interested in your comment here. "I don't agree with all he's written in this book and still have many questions about his "union with Christ" teachings, but I think his stand on grace is fabulous."
I would be interested in hearing what your thoughts are re: "union with Christ" and those that differed from you by Dan.
Tracy,
Thanks, I love it as well. I have been spoiled by this blog, the header and color format.
My good friend Dave did the magic on the header, I sent you a link to his site, the friend I mentioned that sent me samples of Stone's book.
Dave is a graphic genius, although he would argue with my claim :)
Believe it or not we meet sseveral years ago via a mutual forum we were on together. Long story short one of the lovely chrischin's on that blog not so lovingly told Dave to 'Piss off' shortly after that he did, and I followed soon after.
We continued to reach out to one another via email then hooked up via Yahoo Mesenger and Skype, which has lasted to today.
We have meet in person 3 different times now, amazing His grace is.
BTW, Dave also worked on the book cover design for the Shack :)
Rich,
Ah...beautiful.
God wants us to be His TRUE children...and of doing this, TRUE, real, intimate, loving relationship.
Great quotes. Good stuff.
Blessings,
~Amy :)

Rich, I agree with you: Dave is a brilliant graphic artist. I noticed the outstanding graphics on his blog immediately.
I love the story of how you guys met. I also have met some wonderful people in blog-land, and talked on the phone with several of them. I have no doubt we'll meet in person one day, though they're mannny miles away from where I live, tucked away in the hills of Vermont!
As to your question on Dan Stone, you're going to laugh at me now! I truly cannot remember what my questions were! How funny is that? I do know I've read that book twice and really loved it both times through (several years apart). I heard Stone speak in Kentucky shortly before he died as well, and I do not remember what questions I might have had or what I might have disagreed with. If I remember, I will be sure to pop back in here and let you know!.
Tracy,
It truly is amazing the relationships I have discovered and in places I would have never thought possible, He is so good.
One thing I see being very true is something Wayne Jacobsen talked about a while back, of having friends and friends of friends, and that continues to play out in our lives.
My wife after hearing Wayne say this agreed, but also saw it in a much wider perspective, e.g. ‘friends and friends of Jesus’ friends’ meaning, as He leads us we are being brought into a world of discovering folks/friends He deeply loves, but not necessarily ones we would choose.
Allowing Him to choose our friends is an adventure in itself.
Blessings to you
Isn't Wayne great? He was so helpful to us after we first "left the ministry." He came to Vermont, met with a small group of us, and greatly encouraged us. What a blessing he was at that time.
It's funny what you said about friends, because in the group that I meet with we often comment that we never would have chosen each other to hang out with, but when God chooses, you just have to go alone with it. One woman stated it well: It's just like family. You cannot choose who you're related to!
Tracy,
I said to someone recently, I feel as if I am catching up on so much I have lost. My indoctrination into organized religion I liken unto Rip-Van Winkle have imbibed in a bad batch of brew and it putting him to sleep for a 100 years. Well, I may not have been put to sleep that long, all I know is He IS awakening me to the reality of a world He is fully in charge of.
Being introduced to family members I never new existed, brothers, sisters, mothers, Friends.
The unseen, hidden kindred spirit of the Father in us and others is something that takes time adjusting to. I have been introduced to a person for the first time, and not knowing how, its as if, hey, ‘I’ve known you for ever.’
Learning to trust in those inner promptings, nudges more often than not can turn into something that can open a whole new vista, awareness, awe, of the One who is orchestrating my life.
Preach it, brother! :)
Tracy,
I haven't heard that comment in a looong time, thanks.
I use to be one of the wildest Charismaniac's you've ever seen.
Funny how some have tried to label me now more as a Baptist or something else less wild, I just tell em, I've never been more in love with Jesus in all my Life!
I don't care what label one has, without knowing Him its just a bummer of a bumper sticker religion :)
Rich, I made myself laugh out loud writing that, believe me. I used to be one of the wild charismatics as well. I'm so happy to have left that foolishness behind.
