Don’t You Tell Me What To Do

I find it amusing to see how we can live so out of touch with reality, the only reality that is available to all men in the person of Christ Jesus.
According to what Father has clearly laid out for His sons and daughters in the Scriptures, seems to be disregarded in light of their superior insight, intellect and personal political tastes.

In 1Timothy it reads as follows, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.”

Is it really all about having the “perfect man” in office, whether the newly elected President of the United States (Obama) or someone else in any role of power?
In talking with one of my regular customers the other day, he was doing most of the talking and I was doing the listening, he went on and on as to what according to his insight and wisdom dictated a very different picture based upon that which is solely natural wisdom.
I told him, Peter, I agree with you except for one little fly in the ointment. The supposed demarcations of race, creed or colour are insufficient to stop what has invaded every person on this planet, lust, greed ambition at the expense of others well being, there is NO perfect person other than coming to KNOW the perfect One Himself!

Maybe we might begin to see an outer display of an inner awakening in the very hearts of those that we have NO like for if only we give up our rights to bitch and complain about them?
Food for thought, has our Father asked us to pray only for those that sit well on our political palette? Or to pray for ALL people, which includes those in high positions.

Amen, brother!!

I sure do hear a lot of "bitchin' " and complainin' goin on from the right - nobody even seems interested in just lovin' the man and prayin' for him - whether they agree with him, or not.
