What's Your Point

If Jesus really is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow and hasn’t changed, then the outward demonstrations of power that the Father displayed through Him, shouldn’t they be evident today as well?
Oh Rich, you’re going all Vineyard or Pentecostal on us here aren’t ya talking like this?

Are outer expressions of the all powerful Christ meant to be a substitute for the all powerful Christ in us as us? Maybe there are so few outer expressions of His power simply because we do NOT know this loving, but powerful One in us as us?

The early Christians were not excited over a new theology, but over the reality of Jesus’ presence. He was alive among his people to share God’s love and power, and they viewed miracles as one aspect of that power.” (Quoted from the Naked Church)

This isn’t meant to be cute or sarcastic but more to the point, a living out loud moment.

Rich,
Ahhh....excellent. I especially love:

"The early Christians were not excited over a new theology, but over the reality of Jesus’ presence."

And so, too, do I desire to be and remain! Excited over Papa's ongoing, always-there, beautiful, loving Presence within and thorugh me!

Blessings,
~Amy :)

Rich, Yes, yes and yes again. We are supposed to be demonstating Jesus. We have the same Spirit and Papa as Jesus did, but we walk around like defeated whimps. You have touched on a subject which has been very near and dear to my heart for a number of months. We have a POWERFUL God and His poer is in us.
